I have a 75 gallon tank I have recently resealed and I'm in the process of setting up as a planted tank. I plan on keeping ropefish, pearl gourami, and some South American cichlids together. My only concern with this setup is that the "seiryu stone" I ordered on amazon feels quite coarse when I rub my fingers across them. I have some river stones I have added as well but I'm wondering if I should replace these rocks entirely just for the soft bodies of the ropefish to be safe. If any has experience keeping ropefish with this type of stone or catfish / some other soft bodied fish I would greatly appreciate their opinion.
