Farming after the Apocalypse
Bit of a left-field question for this subreddit I'm sure but I'm a wannabe author currently planning out a book set in the UK following a nuclear war.
What I'd like to know is, what would agriculture look like in such a scenario? Obviously modern methods of agriculture like combine harvesters, tractors and such are gone so more medieval methods would return but what would those methods be and what and where would they be used specifically in the case of the UK?
Is there anything else I'm not even considering that would factor in? Would it even realistically be feasible considering the possibility of nuclear winter? If so, how and with what crops?
Literally anything from a rundown of what the agricultural process would look like to tidbits of information you guys can think up that would help inform my writing would be greatly appreciated!!
