Landlord lost the cheques
I just got a call from my landlord saying my cheque dated 1st February bounced and asking me to pay directly at his office.
After checking with the bank, I found the cheque was never submitted and appears to have been lost, and it is now invalid.
He is now threatening legal action if I do not come to the office and pay directly. Can anyone advise me on my rights in this situation?
