Recently I have been having issues with my IUD. Ive had an iud for the last 6 years, i’m on my second one now. i got my second one inserted about 7 months ago. It’s the hormonal one so im not supposed to be getting my period. Recently every time i have s*x i will begin to bleed a couple hours later. It feels like maybe my iud is getting hit and then causing me to get my period? The bleeding started out light and has begun to get heavier. Ive also noticed that when i am bleeding i begin having stomach issues-frequent bowel movements and gas. While i am bleeding i have become very intolerant to most foods and have been feeling very hormonal/emotional. I normally have a very strong stomach, but i’ve had stomach issues since january now. I am unable to get an appointment with a primary care physician at this time and am considering just getting it taken out on tuesday. First, i’d love to get any advice from other people on this thread. It would be greatly appreciated as this has been very stressful for me. Thank you!
