Hey guys I'm travelling to Rajasthan next month for my Son's Jadula (first hair cut ceremony). Pls help me out Here.

Landing in Jaipur in the afternoon. Planning to stay there only first night. Anything I can do family friendly for dinner? Not used to the heat so would highly prefer a.c. don't want a 5 star experience either would love to enjoy the food joints that locals enjoy.

Day 2 we're heading to Didwana for the ceremony preperations. This day is relatively free for us. Anything special to do in or around Didwana? Any hotel recommendations?

Day 3 We head to Salasar and Jhunjunu. Stay in Jhunjnu.

Day 4 Head to Khatu, wrap up Darshan and back to Jaipur.

  1. Is the itinerary ok in terms of geographical efficiency? I was thinking the day we reach Didwana, once prep is done and we have time can we do salasar same day? So day 3 we can do jhunjnu and Khatu and that would give us one extra day for Jaipur? Or Is this too hectic given the heat?

  2. Not used to the heat so I've tried to keep a very relaxed itinerary. Is my itinerary too relaxed or can I use my time better ? I'm travelling with my mother (55 age) and my one year old son, so don't want to take a chance.

  3. is non veg and alcohol acceptable or frowned upon in these destinations ? I'm 99% unlikely to consume any of these things (other than when we return to Jaipur on last day) but just wanted an idea. Like if in these areas we find a dhaba and I see some local mutton dish I might be tempted types.

  4. Recommendations for hotels and reliable taxi service ?

  5. Was planning to carry a portable fan for the baby in case things get too hot in the mandir, carry ORS and coconut water too. Any other tips to beat the heat and keep the baby and rest of us safe?
