Tips on extra spicy cat??
I have this one cat client who I’ve booked drop ins for quite a few times over the past couple years. Once a day morning drop in for several days at a time. After all those visits she’s never even slightly warmed up to me. Full on tortitude. Normally she’s only medium spicy and I know how to carefully work around her. But today she was really aggressive for some reason. She wouldn’t stop growling and trying to attack me, luckily I am fine. She only got my crocs. But it was hard to even put her food dish back on the floor. I was only able to clean the litter box while she was distracted eating but it was genuinely stressful for both of us. I’m really hoping she’ll be back to her normal spice level tomorrow but if this continues it’s gunna be rough. I’m just wondering if anyone has tips to safely navigate this situation if it doesn’t improve??
Here’s the hard part. She has severe food allergies and can only eat a very specific diet, so I can’t exactly bribe or distract her with churu. I’ve tried wand toys a couple times with her but they seem to just make her more mad. Do I just wear multiple layers of clothes, feed her as fast as I can, and hope for no bloodshed? Owners are wonderful, very grateful and tip well, but they’re halfway across the world and I have 5 more days with her.
