I’m honestly exhausted working in what increasingly feels like a circus rather than a professional organisation.
The workload isn’t even the worst part anymore… it’s watching genuinely poor leadership go completely unchecked while competent people pick up the slack and do double the work to keep things moving.
Everything feels painfully inefficient. Simple decisions take forever, accountability barely exists, and underperformance just gets managed around instead of addressed.
I know bureaucracy comes with the territory, but it’s draining watching effort and capability matter less than promoting egos with no leadership skills. It’s the same across the three Depts I’ve worked in.. (now G7)
Surely this isn’t just my area? Any departments truly worth working in?
