What are my chances of acceptance to MD/DO programs, and which schools should I consider applying to?

Graduated 2023
- 3.4 cGPA/sGPA
- 512 MCAT

  • Horrible second quarter of freshman year (COVID started up). Put on probation because I had a sub-2.0 term GPA.

GPA each year:

Fr 3.1, So 3.2, Ju 3.5, Sn 3.1, DIY PostBacc 4.0 (32 Units, mostly upper div bio classes.)

600 hours of clinical volunteering in multiple specialties: Med Telm, Urgent Care, Physical Therapy, Family Med, Pediatrics, and Cardiology. Largely hands-on patient experience on each floor.

  • 200 hours of separate leadership hours in the volunteer program as coordinator for departments.

200 hours in a free clinic, practically an MA in this role.

200 hours working in a food bank to help the homeless and disadvantaged.

200 hours working in a plant pathology research lab as a part of my undergraduate work-study program.

Roughly 7000 hours working at a Disney park full-time (Paid very well, had this job since undergrad).

50 hours of shadowing; Cardiology, Peds, Surgery.

30 hours volunteering as a peer mentor for incoming freshmen and transfer students during my junior/senior year

100 hours volunteering as a student manager for my school's baseball team.

50 hours volunteering in a medical enrichment group, presenting medical information to URM communities, homeless shelters, and churches.

Do I have a realistic shot at MD/DO? What could I do to strengthen my application?
