I know this question has probably been asked dozens of times, but I’m just looking for some anecdotal evidence to give myself hope lol. How did your periods change after having a baby if you had super long anovulatory cycles? I got my first period still breastfeeding 13 months postpartum after he started to wean, we are down to feeding just before his nap and probably 3 times overnight, but they aren’t true feeds just comfort. Before pregnancy I had the kind of PCOS where you just do not ovulate or get a period, I have gone up to 10 months with nothing and had to use provera to start the cycle. My baby was a surprise after 3 losses and 4 years of infertility when I decided to try a GLP1 while we were taking a year break after a 13 week loss. My mom and her mom both had the same issue I did, basically no periods and then they had kids, and it completely regulated them to the point where they both ended up needing permanent birth control to stop having kids. My nana needed a full hysterectomy because she was not going into menopause by herself, her AMH was too high. I’m really hoping that the same will happen for me, but now that my cycle restarted I feel like I’m back in that same place where I want to take 4 ovulation tests a day just to try to find out what my body is doing lmao. So I guess just looking for some hope that I may regulate without having to go back on a GLP1. I will say my hormones do feel a little different, I strongly felt ovulation and what side it was on this time, and since beginning to wean I’ve been dropping weight like it’s my job without changing anything. I did gain like 100lbs in pregnancy, but lost 55 in swelling and a 10lbs baby while still in the hospital, but I’m down another 30 in the 4 months since he’s started weaning himself.
