Is it even worth rentvest now or give up and buy 1BR APT

Hi just wondering if anyone in the same boat
I'm in 30s, single, no ppor in Vic.

I've been searching for investment properties for the last few months and because of yesterday's change , I am not even sure whether rentvest will be worth it or not.

with currenr interest rates, my borrowing power will be less than investment loan so that means I can only buy 1BR lol

Anyone still thinking of rentvesting or giving up?

TIA

Hi, planning to buy IP, for the first time. I've already got pre approval with Bank of melbourne but I'm just not sure with my broker atm whether I need to change my broker or this is usual turnaround time to get full loan. TIA

Hi , I am trying to buy first IP with single income. I was just running some numbers to estimate cashflow after renting out but it seems like I need >7 % rental yield just to be neutral. It is nearly impossible to find something >7% 3BR house in regional area with a land, max budget 550k.

I am just wondering if I am calculating something wrong. Do i just need to expect to be negatively geared and go ahead or should I wait and put more deposit so that repayments would be better

My plan is to rentvest can't move anywhere further because of work, so no FHB benefits, anyways buying an IP is the biggest decision in my life so I am very anxious.

can anyone share your experiences with negatively geared IP

TIA
