so i'm on 75 mg of sertraline (and have been for a few years) to treat anxiety, OCD and depression. it has been extremely helpful, but due to some recent life events and heightened stress, i've been considering upping my dose slightly. i booked an appointment with my psychiatrist to discuss. i've seen him since i started SSRIs and have always found him to be helpful.
within 5 minutes of our appointment starting, and without asking any meaningful questions re: how i was feeling, my symptoms, etc., he started pushing ketamine therapy. pretty hard. does this seem odd to anyone else? i want to reiterate that i am a) not treatment resistant and have seen great success on a relatively low dose of an SSRI b) am not in any severe distress right now. No judgment at all about psychedelics as a treatment option, but something about the interaction left a weird taste in my mouth...
i'm debating if i should even keep seeing this doctor, and curious if anyone has had similar experiences? does this seem weird to anyone else?
