Michael Jackson is not the best artist of all time and that's perfectly ok.

I've always seen a lot of talk about mj and people putting him into that conversation, I'm making this post cause I've recently been slightly debating with mj fans about this, I want people who are actually well versed in music enough to give their take on this, not just people who will say oh he was the biggest artist ever without social media so he's the best, that's not an argument, I do fully believe people can give him the title of most popular artist of all time, that's a perfectly good title to give him that still is a massive deal, but I feel people feel the need to give mj the title of best, and tbh since MJ is such a popular artist it also means there is majority of casual music fans who are fans of him and throws these titles around, to me it's seriously all casual fans defending him as this and that, but I'm whiling to bet the average person who says this doesn't know how many studio albums mj has released and has probably not listened to more than 3 of them at most, I do not think he's the best artist I think there are plenty better artist throughout time than mj, bjork being my prime example of a better artist, she is more abrasive, innovative, has higher highs, more consistent discography, and more influential imo, I'm curious to see what people who know what they're talking about think about this, if you agree and put other artists above him and why, or if you disagree and why you think he's the best.
