Chemistry department correspondence turnaround time?
I emailed the chemistry department early Tuesday morning in the hopes of resolving an issue registering for summer quarter accelerated chemistry. I sent it from my student email, included my W# and got the auto-reply, so all those boxes are checked. I also called and left a voicemail yesterday morning.
Is it normal to not have received a response by now? Whenever I’ve emailed the math department about the same registration issue, I’ve gotten a response within a couple of hours.
I don’t want to be a nuisance if a bit of a wait is pretty standard for the department, but I am starting to get nervous now that registration is fully open. I’m also not certain if it would be appropriate to reach out directly to the instructor in this instance.
For context, I am registered for the second half of accelerated chemistry, but am unable to register for the first half because I (barely) passed chemistry a decade ago. Back then it was Chem 121, so my advisor (unfortunately out this week) did not think I would run into the course repeat policy issue.
