Anyone else have their grammar corrected in front of a group of people while in the middle of a presentation?
A little bit heartbroken, I was presenting a report this afternoon to my senior leadership team (VP plus) for context, this is my first director role, and I have only been in this industry for a few months.
Long story short, while I was in the middle of my presentation I made a very basic and stupid grammatical error, sometimes when I’m nervous, I tend to trip over my words. Being socially anxious also doesn’t help.
I am mortified and hurt that he called my error out in front of everybody. I’ve presented in hundreds of meetings and I’m nowhere near perfect but I have never had anybody correct me in front of a group of people I’m pissed and I want to confront him. Am I overreacting?
