Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for the New Jersey CPA, and I’m trying to figure out which of my economics courses will count toward the “business credits” requirement.

I graduated from Rutgers (School of Arts and Sciences, Economics major — NOT Rutgers Business School).

Here are the courses I’ve taken:

  • Intro to Microeconomics
  • Intro to Macroeconomics
  • Intermediate Micro Analysis
  • Intermediate Macro Analysis
  • Statistics I
  • Econometrics
  • International Economics
  • American Economic History
  • Financial Economics
  • Environmental Economics

I understand that NJ requires business credits from an accredited business school (AACSB/ACBSP), but I’ve also heard some econ/stat courses may still count as “business-related.”

Has anyone gone through NJ CPA evaluation with similar ECON courses?
Which ones were accepted as business credits, if any?

Thanks in advance!
