So I’ve been a content creator for 3 years, but I’m just starting to branch out into freelance social media management recently.
I had an in-person interview with a potential client and I accidentally undersold myself and said yes to $500/month: 8-10 videos/carousels, social media management and they also asked for a social media audit and a strategic proposal to see if I'd be fit for the role. They'd like for me to explore influencers outreach and paid ads in the future too and they're also hoping I could work with them long term.
Now that I’m home, I'm not sure, I might have overpromised. I’m supposed to send the audit and proposal in two days, but I'm just wondering if the rates for the scope are normal, even for a beginner SMM? Just need some perspective before it's too late to back out!
*Note: $500 is around 2500 in my local currency, which would be lower than a fresh grad's salary here.
