Could I, or should I, stack these two entertainment cabinets?

They are the same size. One is in the living room (white/grey top) and the other is in the basement (green top) We’re renovating the basement and will remove that one, regardless.

I’m wondering if I could remove the white/grey counter of the living room unit and then stack the basement unit on top before reinstalling the white/grey counter.

Is this possible? Anything I should take into consideration?

If it is possible and if it were installed well, do you think it would look good?

There’s currently a large empty wall space between the counter top and tv. I think filling that space isn’t a bad idea, the extra storage would be nice and we already have the spare cabinet.
