Hey guys, I've been forcing myself to do HCI from Georgia tech because I wanted to learn some skill that will relate to CS ( my major ) and because I developed a video game that did poorly I assume because of game design / UX. HCI being useful for my major and my hobby
The course has been pretty boring though so far(75% done with course 1.) I'm not really seeing how this can help me if it's not an actual project where I design something with the guy step by step. maybe I should take a game design course specifically instead...
Should I be taking notes so I actually learn more? I feel like the information is really easy to get because the videos are short, yet I never really directly refer to them when doing stuff because it feels like common sense. That videos do change my. mindset to think more about UX , but they don't really make me feel like im englihtened about how to improve it.
Definitely good information, just not sure if it's the best use of my time. Perhaps a ML/python/game dev course would be better use for preparing for college next year...
