Hi everyone, I’m reaching out because I’m at a breaking point with my mental health and executive dysfunction. I haven't been formally diagnosed with ADHD yet, but every single symptom fits my reality. For the past 4 months, I’ve been on Brintellix, and for the past 2 months, I’ve been taking Wellbutrin. Recently, I even doubled my Wellbutrin dose out of desperation, but I feel absolutely no difference. I feel "foggy," my head is constantly exploding with a thousand thoughts, and I’m physically unable to start even the simplest tasks. I know exactly what I need to do, but I just can't do it. Then I forget about it entirely, only for it to resurface weeks later. For example, I spent €200 on supplements, took them for two weeks, and then completely forgot they even existed for another two weeks. Despite being on these meds, my depression is returning because I feel so dysfunctional. My current GP is dismissive; they wouldn't even prescribe Wellbutrin initially, giving me some mild sedatives instead, which makes no sense for my symptoms. I feel like I’m just being "pushed away" rather than helped. In the past, I struggled with substance misuse because I was trying to self-medicate this chaos in my head. I need a specialist who understands "dual diagnosis" and won't judge me for my past, but will actually help me function. I honestly feel like a stimulant (like Concerta) is what I’ve been missing, but getting a proper assessment feels impossible. I have a Medical Card. Does anyone know a GP or a private/public specialist who actually cares and won't charge a fortune? Or someone who works with Medical Cards and understands that Wellbutrin/Brintellix isn't the solution for everyone? I'm desperate to finally feel like a functioning human being. Thanks for any help or direction.
