Hi there, im planning on having a quick stop through Ecuador on my way from Peru to Columbia in about a month.

My plan was to get the bus from Peru upto Quito for a few nights, then maybe spend a few nights at the Cotopaxi park then head on up to Colombia. Id probably stick to the touristy safe areas, iv have just been told that the busses might be distributed and possibly unsafe. If anyones been through recently or is there now could you give me any advice.

I only ask because i have seen that the country is in a national state of emergency.
