Currently I'm working in State government department at Group-2 level earning around 60,000 rupees, with gud work life balance...But I think I should earn more since promotions are slow in my department..

Preparing for UPSC seems Herculean task at present...

Is preparing for SSC CGL a good decision? Does the paygrade of CGL a step further in my career or they are at same level ? Or Should I prepare for any other exam?

Suggestions are welcome ..
