Finally settled on this for my mom’s Mother’s Day gift — it’s 925 silver with platinum plating, and the Zambian emeralds are stunning.
I love the little V-shape, it sits so nicely on the collarbone, and the princess cuts make the stones sparkle way more than I expected. It’s delicate enough for her to wear to work, but still feels special enough for the occasion.
Crossing my fingers she loves it as much as I do! Anyone else here love gifting jewelry for Mother’s Day?
For my fellow gemstone nerds, I wanted to share the little details that make this star ring my favorite piece I’ve ever made.
The center stone is a kite-cut blue sapphire, and I specifically chose this cut because of how it elongates the stone and gives it that sharp, star-like sparkle. The accent stones are all kite-cut too — aquamarines for the lighter stars, a tiny tanzanite for that hint of purple twilight, and white sapphires for the little scattered starlight on the band.
I went with a two-tone setting because I love how the warm gold of the band makes the cool blues and purples of the stones pop. The whole design is meant to look like a tiny constellation wrapping around your finger, and I’m obsessed with how it catches the light from every angle.
The color is absolutely chef’s kiss — that rich, deep lush green that I just couldn’t resist. But right now, I have absolutely no idea what to make with these two stones.
Just got this batch of color-change alexandrites, Cushion / Princess / Emerald.
I just got these two natural emeralds, and I’m so excited but also completely stuck on what to do with them. They’re both such beautiful shades of green, and I love the difference in tone and size between them. The 0.68ct one is this bright, fresh green that’s perfect for everyday wear, while the 0.73ct has that deeper, richer hue that feels so luxurious.
The left one with the marquise cut has this sleek, modern vibe—love how the extra tiny stone at the bottom adds that subtle sparkle. But the pear cut on the right feels so soft and romantic, and the adjustable chain with those little gold beads is chef’s kiss for layering.
