for me it is the avatar shism hero
I really like this hero XD. I basically just upgrade the first unit and thats it. I hardly eve loose anything as avata with this shield can tank soo much and keep units away from my archer. I dont have to spend anything on army and cna focus on building while stomping the first area 😄.

Me and a friend I used to play Heroes of Might and Magic III with picked this up together — and yeah, it was a blast.
I loved Heroes 3.
Even liked 4.
And I really enjoyed Heroes of Might and Magic V.
But the later ones just didn’t connect with me.
This one, though — it works.
I’m actually glad they didn’t try to remake Heroes 3. That game already exists, and it’s kind of untouchable. No point competing with that.
Instead, this feels more like an evolution of Heroes 5, which I think was exactly the right call.
The negatives… not many, but still:
It’s sometimes hard to tell if you’ve completed certain objectives.
Artifact visuals — it’s not always clear which items belong to which set. Can get chaotic fast.
Castle variety… not bad, but I’d like to see 1–2 more options. Hopefully that comes later.
The good:
Even with fewer castles, the playstyles feel distinct. They did a solid job there.
The law system is actually interesting — choosing between gold law and astral while upgrading adds a nice layer.
Modes in general are good. Tournament mode especially — it pushes you to optimize your power at the right moment, which feels great.
TL;DR:
It’s a strong game. I’m having a really good time with it.
