The European Commission is formally investigating Apple for limiting interoperability between iOS and third‑party smartwatches. The EU argues that Apple gives its own Apple Watch an unfair advantage by restricting features like:

• deep sensor access

• background health data

• advanced Bluetooth functions

Hopefully the EU will force Apple to play fair and stop abusing its position and stifling innovation
