Hiking a few years back we were passing through plains and also a forest that has a lot of hogs. With hogs come ticks. I was wearing quite comfortable polyester leggings and did not catch a single one.
I picked off roughly 15 ticks off my SO's trousers and close to 100 off the dog.
I'm making the transition to natural fabrics for all leisure activities but have huge reservations about merino leggings just because of the ticks.
In terms of different fabric materials- what have you felt keeps the pests away best and what have your experiences been?
