I recently passed the MSF course and got my endorsement, and I'm looking for a first bike. I want to be able to ride around town, but also take longer rides through the mountains or out to the coast, and it sounds like a Versys would be good for that. There are a couple for sale in my area:

The first one is lower miles, but the second one sounds better maintained, at least from the description. What sort of issues should I look for? What kind of maintenance can I expect to have been done, or need to do? Do either of these sound like a good deal?

I'm strongly considering this 2022 Honda CB500F as a first bike:

It looks like it's in good shape, and it seems to be priced right ($4500), it's just a little more than I wanted to spend. But if it's a good deal and has good resale value I can swing it.

I'm also eyeballing these two Kawasaki Versys:

They're more in the price range I'm comfortable with ($3-3.5k) but I'm not sure about getting something with this many miles (18k and 32k respectively).

The Versys seems like a better fit for what I want to do - ride around town but also take longer rides through the mountains or out to the coast. I'm not sure if the Honda would be comfortable for longer rides. Or if I should even worry about that right now and just get something good for learning on. What do you think?
