So I got my IUD on the 13th January this year and have had 3 periods since then (end of jan, end of feb, end of march). The doctors told me that the first 3 periods after an IUD could be heavier, longer etc.
I then expected to start my period to start as normal end of April maybe just a bit less horrid! However I spotted for a couple of days early-mid April. Thought nothing of it as I heard it can happen, checked the strings - all good.
I’m now about a week and half/2 weeks late. I’ve taken a pregnancy test and it’s negative. But in those 2 weeks I’ve been late my body has been randomly cramping, sore boobs, symptoms of my period- but no period.
I have pcos so I’m okay with irregular periods but it’s been pretty spot on the last 6 months and this has just thrown me a bit.
Has anyone else had their period change after the 3 months?
I’m a bit paranoid I’m pregnant to be honest! Please help.
