I’m currently designing an indoor golf simulator and would really appreciate some input from people with hands-on experience, especially with the ProTee VX system.
These are my room dimensions:
Width: 5 meters
Length: 8 meters
Height: 3.20 meters
My goal is to achieve the best possible setup in terms of both tracking accuracy and visual quality.
Here are my main questions:
1. Launcher placement (ProTee VX):
What’s the ideal distance from the impact screen?
Recommended mounting height from the floor?
Any tips to avoid interference or tracking issues?
2. Projector placement:
Optimal distance from the screen to fully fill the image without distortion
Would you recommend a short throw or ultra short throw in this setup?
Best height/position relative to the hitting area to avoid player shadows
3. Swing space:
With 8 meters of depth, how much distance would you recommend between tee and screen?
Is ~2.5–3 m ideal, or better to go further back?
If anyone has a similar setup or is using the ProTee VX, I’d really value precise measurements or practical advice.
