Hi, I am relatively new to the world of fragrance after dabbling with them when I was in my 20s (after visiting a parfumerie in France). So a lot has changed and there are so many new scents and new ways to discover them (apps, forums etc). The thing is, though I have a vague idea what I don't like (overly floral, rose-based scents), I am not sure what my taste really is now as a woman in my late 40s. So I'm really just looking for where to start, discovery sets? Brands? Sites that you'd recommend? Whatever advice you can give within the rules. Unfortunately I live a ways away from a department store so I can't easily sample in person.

Has anyone tried this company? I am somewhat suspicious of dupes in general (worry that the ingredients are lower quality) but with the cost of living here in Australia atm I need to be economical about my purchases. Any dupes that you guys swear by?
