Is this illegal?

I was injured at work, but it wasn't a work injury. I removed my steel toes after my shift ,and all my toes had blood blisters under them. All the assistant managers & manager were there and they told me to go to the doctor, I did, I was sent to the hospital. I ended up spending 4 weeks with the wound clinic, and it's been a year, and I'm still recovering. I filled out the filled out the accommodation report and was told we would have a follow-up in a few months to see how it's going. That hasn't happened yet, so I would assume that in the eyes of the company, I'm still injured.

That's the back story

I was down to 2-3 days a week, it hurts to walk sometimes. I'm now back 4-5 days a week, so I asked for my shift back. Which was Monday to Friday and on Wed and Thurs. I am the receiver. I was informed my shift wasn't available, but I could have Tuesday to Saturday. Sure, whatever, it's a job. So a few weeks go by and I ask when I will get my w/t receiver job back, he said he would get back to me. Later on he tells me that I am unreliable, I've missed too much work and won't be getting the receiver part back. But I missed work because I was injured and I'm being punished because I got injured. That's illegal is it not?

I'm not looking to sue, but should I go to the ethics committee so this doesn't happen to someone else. Like I don't want to lose my job but someone always needs to stand up. I live in bc, Canada
