Painting from grandmother’s house
Firstly, I’ve never been on this subreddit before so apologies if I’m doing anything wrong, please feel free to correct me.
My Nan is moving into our house so we were emptying her one and this beautiful painting was hung on one of the walls. It used to belong to a cousin of her’s, so she’s unsure if the origins of the painting. She thinks it was given to her when her cousin passed maybe 3 or so years ago? We live in the south west of England, however we think her cousin’s husband used to travel so it could be from somewhere else.
I cannot find any matches on Google lens or make out what the signature says, anything we tried to make out and searched didn’t have a result. I’d imagine it’s just some unknown artist but we’re incredibly curious and were just wondering if anybody with more experience than us could give us anymore insight on it.
