People giving mocks with Telegram open, friends on call, or straight-up Googling, downloading mock pdf in advance....

I genuinely don’t get the point. Mocks aren’t for marks or flexing. They’re diagnostic. The only person you’re accountable to is yourself. If you cheat, you never find out whether your RC accuracy is actually 60% or if you’re bombing Quant.

So what happens on CLAT day when there’s no phone, no friend, just you + OMR? Do people think they’ll magically pull off the same score? Or is it just about short term dopamine from a fake rank?

At the same time, I get the pressure. Everyone posts high scores. Parent's pressure....FOMO is real. Maybe some think “if others are doing it, why shouldn’t I?”

Curious what this sub thinks:

  1. Is mock cheating more common than we admit?

  2. Does it actually hurt in the long run, or am I overthinking?

  3. How do you guys keep yourself honest during mocks?

Not here to judge. Just want to understand the mindset because it feels counterproductive to me.

What’s your take?
