I had a really good run and finally defeated red death. However, I had been running the Skull O'Maniac every time I found it and had just under 400% extra difficulty (for that sweet sweet extra xp). It was still so easy that I never noticed the enemy scaling and never considered that red death would come out doing more than the 333 base damage...

Cue my surprise when he comes out and slaps the shit out of me for almost 1400 damage in a single hit.

Luckily I had four revives, 1 million coins, and a metric ton of coin gems on everything so I spammed the cards with gems, died, spammed, died, spammed, died, etc.

Killed him on my last life though!
