Can anyone tell me what kind of animal this is? We found it, already dead, in our side yard. we live in a typical residential suburb in the San Francisco bay area.
I'm thinking it's a baby coyote, but not sure. We're only a mile or so from a huge county park, and get coyotes strolling down the streets once in a while; foxes now and then, too.
