Need Help Identifying.
We built a house and moved in about a year ago and I’ve been working hard to get a lawn established. We are in southern IL (St. Louis Area) and our property is very hilly and wooded. The soil is heavy clay loam type. I’ve been employing this strategy: TTTF/KBG blend on the flat areas surrounding the house (the areas I want looking sharp but also durable). And using K-31 for the sloped areas where I am trying to get fast growth to help control erosion. Recently this stuff has been showing up and I can’t tell what it is. It doesn’t look like any of the other grass types I’ve planted. It’s primarily in the areas covered with straw erosion blankets but it’s also gotten into the areas around the house. Anyone know what it is? It’s got wider blades like KY-31 but a much lighter green and more carpet like than what I’ve seen with the other KY-31 areas. Any insights would be appreciated!
