Hunting for Coins advice needed for rookie
Just bought a Nokta Simplex Lite to hunt for interesting finds in my 400 year old farmhouse. Had some early success with my old detector ( cheap job from Amazon ) and then progressed to the Nokta with fairly limited success so far.
I have not ( as per advice from ChatGPT ) been digging for anything less than 25 as this apparently is likely to be junk although I feel 15-25 comes up a lot in my garden, would you still dig? The other challenge I have is that when I go over certain areas of grass my detector spits out all sorts of random numbers consecutively and again I understood this is inconsistent and not to dig.
Does anyone have a view on this? Really I’m keen to find coins and have found 8 or so so far but I don’t know what numbers I should be focusing on for coins. Help!
