I want to know what TEC has to say, if anything, on suicide. Is it a sin, does it condemn one to Hell, etc. Y'know. Is there any reason to not do it.

I know the verses in the Bible about suicide, but from what I can tell it never really says it's good or bad. Heard a couple of folks call suicide murder, and murder is a sin. But I don't see it that way.

It's '95. The players are in the Oakwood Police Department, where nobody really has much standing. They're there to search for records on someone's next of kin. One player is the OPD janitor, another is a county medical examiner, other two are unrelated (PI, and a priest). PI is in the staff room, making a cup of coffee, and he bumps into what happens to be the guy in charge of records (Cpl. Voss). He pisses him off in some way, but nothing happens.

One of the other unrelated players goes, alongside the two related players, into the empty records room. They see the computer terminal at Voss's desk. Med examiner fails the library use roll, so he only gets one clue and he took up most of the "being alone with the records" grace period. The priest then rolls, and she got a straight, natural, grass-fed and cage-free 100. I have Voss come back and see her on the terminal, they argue for a second, and because I couldn't think faster on my feet, Voss arrests the priest.

A boondoggle effort to get her out of jail ultimately gets the PI also arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct. What followed that caper ultimately led to a bit of a slog as we took a fiver and, as a writer's room, tried to figure out what the fuck to do. They eventually got out by disguising themselves and sneaking out, but we all knew that was a lame horse of a deus ex machina.

I know what I did wrong but I don't know what I could have done right. I mean, I have a few ideas, like "shut off power to the police station," or "have the signal towers for the town go down," or "literally any fucking thing else than what you did." But writers are better together. All advice welcome!
