Is this tooth real?
since mosasaur teeth are so common, my concerns are more directed to the partial root that seems to be on the outside side of the tooth base
thanks in advance

I recently bought this as a starter for my fossile collection, it comes from Oulad Abdoun (presumably) and belongs to a mosasaurus but i don't think i have a keen enough eye to spot anything fishy with it
I wanted to ask help of a more experienced eye to see first and for most if it's a fake or not, and second at what species it belongs to, from the place it comes from i was guessing between a Halisaurus and Platecarpus
