This one was a journey. Started with#2 matte pencil, then acrylic paint & color pencils, then some thin oil layers on top. First time finishing a mixed media in oil paint. I’ve used artist grade acrylic before, but these oil cadmium red and yellow, and cobalt teal feel like they practically glow! Having a blast with this dive into oil paint.

My son really wants me to do this guy but I can never seem to get him right, triple eyes are rare ugh… maybe next time. Matte black pencil, matte acrylic paintand color pencil. Still debating adding an oil glaze on top.

Still got lots to learn about oil paint… but this was fun
