Phd questions

I have a question and seeking advice.

When i did my bachelor's in mechanical engineering with aerospace emphasis, i had the opportunity to publish 8 papers created and authored by me with 3 of my phd professors as co author's. They were published by IEEE, sage london, science direct, elsiever, and another group from Tanisha Africa.

After my bachelor's, i went onto my masters where i had the opportunity to do 4 more publications and have the opportunity to be an active peer reviewer for IEEE, sage, IREC and also peer review phd dissertations for London University, Sage, and Wuhan University.

What i am wondering is if spending the money and doing another 2 years of research just for another paper or 2 for my phd is going to do anything for me in the long run?

I have 3 years working experience with the DOE as a wind turbine design engineer and 2 years biomedical experience for another group. I do have a really really ggod job right now in the space industry.

Thanks for any advice
