How do you actually stop talking to someone you’re used to speaking with every day?
I’m struggling with something and could really use some honest advice.
There’s this person I talk to every single day—for hours. I genuinely enjoy their company, and they haven’t done anything wrong. No fights, no toxicity, nothing like that.
But deep down, I’ve realized that having them in my life like this isn’t good for me in the long run. It’s affecting me in ways I can’t ignore anymore.
The problem is… I don’t know how to walk away.
How do you stop talking to someone you’re so used to without feeling bored, empty, or tempted to go back? How do you actually detach when nothing “bad” happened to push you away?
I don’t want to ghost them unfairly, but I also know continuing this isn’t the right thing for me.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What worked for you?
