We all make mistakes! 🫣
So I’ve made this pattern five or six times and customized it and rewrote it for my own purposes. This is the front of a Raglan sleeve sweater.
When you get to the part where you split the front for the neck, you’re supposed to do short rows on one side, and put the remaining stitches ON A HOLDER.
Well, I got lazy and thought well shoot, I always use circular needles. I’ll just push the stitches down and knit on the ones I need for the short rows. Got that done, and then when I went to do the other side… I forgot to slip the middle stitches onto a holder! I mindlessly knit the other side without even looking at my work.
I am a 72-year-old experienced knitter, having learned from my knitting instructor mom when I was six years old.
Just to tell you… No matter how long you knit, you will still screw up, laugh at yourself…. and fix it.
