Protestants vs Catholics?

So, bago pa lang ako sa sub na ‘to
…and already noticed a lot of toxicity sa comment section. And I just wanna share what I’ve posted sa kabila.

I know Christians and Protestants see *some* things differently theologically, BUT I genuinely believe that anyone who sincerely trusts in Jesus are still saved.

The important thing is that both groups share these core essentials anyway, such as:

• Faith in Christ as our one and only Lord and Savior

• The Word (in most cases)

• A genuine relationship with God

• Living out their faith through love and obedience

EVEN IF, in the end, Catholics are theologically more accurate, I believe Protestants can still be saved despite getting some details wrong, AND VICE VERSA.

It’s the heart, the intent, the sincerity that God sees. Not just whether your theology is perfect.

I know di ko rin to ma practice perfectly pero…

Instead of endlessly debating who has the perfect theology, bakit di nalang tayo mag focus on winning more souls? Loving Christ? Living out faith sincerely?

Hindi ba pwede tigilan na natin ang pride, ego, and division? And truly be the salt and light Jesus called us to be?

Why don’t we deal with our wickedness first before looking at others?

And ask yourselves this kung gusto niyo pang makipag bakbakan sa comm section:
What would Jesus do in this situation?
Would this bring honor to Him?

No wonder non-believers laugh at us. We worship one God, but we end up dividing and tearing each other apart.
