Thoughts on if stranger things should’ve ended at season 4?
Spoilers ahead:
I was thinking about this after i rewatched the final scene of stranger things season 4. It would have been really interesting if the show ended at season 4 due to how dark the ending was.
El, Mike, Will, Hopper, Joyce, and Jonathan were the only ones not in Hawkins during the earthquake and when the 4 gates opened. It would’ve been interesting to show that they were the only survivors at the end. As for Nancy, that is debatable since she was there when the earthquake happened, but was with Jonathan and the rest of the group in the final scene. But with how the ending scene played out, it would’ve been interesting to see that she was the only survivor after the earthquake and the rest of the group found her.
I only bring this up because with how dark the ending of season 4 was and how it was a literal apocalypse happening, season 5 made no sense after they covered that up completely and did the 20 month time jump.
What do you guys think?
