Hi everyone, I recently bought a manual transmission 2021 jcw f56. I have never driven manual before, so I hope to learn on this car.

One thing I noticed was that the car doesn’t seem to auto rev-matching when downshifting. As a noob I have not been giving it gas when downshifting, and the car jerks when I let off the clutch too quickly, but I though auto-rev match is supposed to take care of that. Am I missing something? Could the auto rev-match feature be programmed out by previous owners?

Also the shifter feels really sloppy (see video, shifter is in 1st gear, not neutral) compared to my partner’s GTI. Is this a MINI thing or is something worn?
