How do you study?
I am in my 3rd and hardest “weed out” semester of my ADN. It seems like an average of 10-20% of a cohort repeat this semester. I have always been a good student and test taker, so I’ve never had to spend much time studying. I have been putting a lot of work in now. Review of class material, reading the textbook, related videos, flash cards, practice questions, remediation, peer tutors…but I’m not feeling like my scores are reflective of all of that.
I feel like I must be missing something. I know the NCLEX kind of questions are supposed to trip people up, and I want to figure out what it is I should be doing to score a little better.
How do you study for a nursing exam? Any NCLEX question tips? How much time do people put in on average? (been doing around 20 hours a week outside of class) I would usually use a study guide, but we are not provided with them for this semester, so there’s a lot of content I need to know a lot about.
Open to anything! The more unhinged the better.
