Unverified accusations in ‘Are We Dating the Same Guy’ groups, are they getting out of control?
There’s a serious lack of accountability in some of these dating discussion groups.
People are being posted, dissected, and judged—sometimes without even having met the person—based entirely on speculation or one-sided claims.
That kind of environment makes it incredibly easy for misinformation to spread, and once it does, there’s basically no way to undo the damage.
Whatever the original purpose was, it’s clearly being pushed beyond that in many cases.
When reputations, careers, and mental health are on the line, there has to be a higher standard than “someone said something in a group.”
I’ve started digging deeper into this and putting together something to address it, because the current situation feels completely unchecked.
