Hi, I’m 21F and I have bad health anxiety. A month ago I discovered a lump under mastoid process. It is rock hard, feels like a bone but I’m not sure. It doesn’t move and it is very palpable when I bend my neck towards the side my lump is on (left). I also feel the similar thing on my right side but it is smaller and takes me a few more seconds to find it. When my head is in neutral position it kind of feels like a hard rope that goes across my SCM (not down my neck but towards the back of my neck). My doctor says it’s the attachment of SCM to skull but it genuinely doesn’t feel like a muscle. Does anyone have a similar story because I genuinely don’t know who to ask anymore.
