Buyer who didn’t purchase my item was able to rate me after 1 message… is this normal?
Had a weird situation and wondering if this is how Marketplace is supposed to work.
I listed a pair of armchairs and had a guy message me once asking if it was still available. I told him I already had a buyer lined up and would let him know if it fell through. He just replied “Ok” and that was the entire interaction.
He never bought the item, never followed up, nothing.
I sell the chairs to someone else… and 2 weeks later somehow this guy was still able to leave me a rating?
Now it’s saying I have a rating waiting and I have to rate him back to even see what he said.
Is this normal?? Seems kinda broken that someone who didn’t buy anything (and barely interacted) can rate you.
Curious if others have had this happen or if there’s any way to prevent it.
