I get it now

My first reaction to seeing this subreddit was like “Man, these guys are morons, painting stuff that’s never going to be seen by anyone else other than when they go to strip models down.

Now that I’ve tried it, I’m left feeling like that gif of Danny DeVito shedding tears and saying. “I get it now.”

You fellas make some really cool stuff.

I’ve had this printer for nearly a year and a half; I’ve gone through every avenue I can think of to change the consistent failures and detachment problems I’ve been having.

I’ve changed slicers, slicer settings, adjusting heat levels, changing resins, using pre-supported models, Slicer auto supports and manually adding supports. I’ve used modeler recommended settings and resins; I’ve over exposed, under exposed to see if anything changes changed layer depth all the way from 0.2mm down to 0.01mm. I’ve changed burn in layers from what people recommended on other subreddits and even went to the extreme level of over exposing the burn in layers and adjusting the transition layers with no joy.

I’ve had 4 printer breakdowns, 2 broken screens, 1 warped vat, and have gone through manufacturer build plates to ensure it’s not a physical equipment problem. I’ve re-leveled the build plate I don’t know how many times.

I’ve changed usb devices, cleaned and lubricated the mechanical lift; spaced out models on the build plate, I’ve even only done one model on the build plate to see if I can get a successful print; still no joy.

These printers are junk, and I wish I was back in the US so I can repurpose this gimmick device into target practice but instead I’ll just dumpster it and go with a better product.

Save your money; this thing is not worth it.

Invictor war suit showcasing the indomitable human spirit intrinsic to those who serve the Emperor. Though some might regard them as a sort of a lame unit; I really love how they look. The model is also magnetized at the waist with a 5mmx2mm magnet so it pops off for transport and posing.

This was an Invictor War Suit kit, using an alt sarcophagus cover from a Brutalis Dread to up armor the cockpit cage. The operator was kit bashed from a broken infiltrator I had. The Tyranid was a free STL I downloaded from cults 3D.

Remember switching to your secondary is faster than reloading.
